Social creativity was a special sort of creativity in social interaction and important social activities in which a person proposed and solved social problems in a novel, special, appropriate and valid way. It has been proved that personality, such as neuroticism and openness are concerned with social creativity. It is the advent of the Internet that provides people with a new communicative method, which has important implications for individual social creativity training. In light of this, this thesis is aimed at revealing the relationship among personality of college students, Internet communication and social creativity.In order to investigate the characteristics of social creativity and Internet communication,512college students selected by convenient sampling were measured by the questionnaires. The Social Creative Questionnaire for College Students (Jingyi Hu,2008) was adopted to measure their social creativity; The Internet communication Questionnaire was adopted to measure their Internet communication. The Big Five Inventory (BFI-44, John, etc.1991) were placed in realistic and network scenarios to measure reality personality and cyber personality of college students. The results indicated that:(1) The corresponding dimension of cyber personality and reality personality was highly correlated.(2) Extraversion of reality personality scored significantly lower than extraversion of cyber personality, while neuroticism of reality personality scored significant higher than neuroticism of cyber personality.(3) Each dimension of reality personality could significantly predict the corresponding dimension of cyber personality.(4) The relationship between agreeableness of reality personality and social creativity was mediated by agreeableness of cyber personality and Inernet communication. Specially speaking, agreeableness of reality personality affected college studentss’ social creativity mainly in three indirect ways:mediated by agreeableness of cyber personality; mediated by Inernet communication; mediated by agreeableness of cyber personality and Inernet communication.(5) The relationship between openness of reality personality and social creativity was mediated by openness of cyber personality and Inernet communication. Specially speaking, openness of reality personality affected college studentss’ social creativity mainly in two indirect ways: mediated by openness of cyber personality; mediated by both openness of cyber personality and Inernet communication. (6) The relationship between extraversion of reality personality and social skill creativity was mediated by extraversion of cyber personality and Inernet communication. Specially speaking, extraversion of reality personality affected college studentss’ social skill creativity mainly in three indirect ways: mediated by extraversion of cyber personality; mediated by Inernet communication; mediated by both extraversion of cyber personality and Inernet communication.(7) The relationship between openness of reality personality and self-cognition was mediated by openness of cyber personality and Inernet communication. Specially speaking, openness of reality personality affected college studentss’ self-cognition mainly in two indirect ways: mediated by openness of cyber personality; mediated by both openness of cyber personality and Inernet communication.
