Expounds Wang Shuo’s works production from three aspects, which are the formation of Feng Xiaogang’s film style, his characters setting and his transformation of ideas guiding creation in literature. This thesis mainly studies Feng Xiaogang’s movies and Wang Shuo’s literary creations. It seeks the substantial nexus between films and literature from the cooperation of Feng Xiaogang and Wang Shuo, which provides speculation and reference for Chinese film makers to create excellent films.This thesis is divided into introduction, text and epilogue, and the text is divided into three chapters.The introduction firstly analyzes and investigates the relationship between films and literature.It mainly includes two aspects, one is the "soul" role literature plays in films, the other is a phenomenon in which many films are adapted from literary creation in the development of Chinese films. Secondly, it analyzes the situation of Chinese films at the present stage whose problem in the development are also pointed out; finally it puts forward the reason why Feng Xiaogang’s films can gain acceptance in audience and movie industry. It’s closely related to his emphasis on script production and cooperation with contemporary writers, among whom Wang Shuo plays a symbolic role in the development of Chinese movie.The first chapter mainly discourses the formation of the style of Wang Shuo’s works and Feng Xiaogang’s films. Firstly the main style of Wang Shuo’s works and the reason why it forms are introduced, then the author introduces how the formation of Feng Xiaogang film style succeeds and develops Wang Shuo’s style, which mainly includes two aspects. One, Director Feng’s acceptance of the "teasing and humorous" style of Wang Shuo, the exertion of "admiration" and "irony" in Feng’s films; two, selective absorption of the tangled and depressive style of Wang Shuo’s works.The second chapter mainly discusses the moulding of "Wan Zhu" in Wang Shuo’s works and "Beijing Grandpa" in Feng Xiaogang’s films. Firstly the moulding of "Wan Zhu" in Wang Shuo’s works are introduced, secondly the author analyzes "Beijing Grandpa’"s feature and its course in Feng Xiaogang’s films and probes "Beijing Grandpa’"s characteristic and discrepancy developed from "Wan Zhu".The third chapter mainly analyzes the idea guiding creation in literature and art of Wang Shuo’s works and Feng Xiaogang’s films. Firstly the logos and sense of worth of Wang Shuo’s works are introduced; secondly the author analyzes idea guiding creation in art and value logos of Feng Xiaogang’s films, discussing the discrepancy of Wang Shuo, indicating the "national" and "romantic" character Feng Xiaogang’s films.The epilogue partly summarizes and concludes the main idea of this thesis, further indicating the important significance of the cooperation of Feng Xiaogang and Wang Shuo. It puts forward a exploratory topic, Feng Xiaogang and "Master Plot" and indicates Chinese films’ appeal for literary value. This thesis not only analyzes and probes the feature and course of the cooperation of Feng Xiaogang and Wang Shuo, but also is an analytical quest for the role literary element plays in films.
