A Challenge To The Art Of The Soviet Union Socialist Realism

In the early sixty’s of last century, Sichuan Fine Art Institute carried out a teaching experiment, two experimental classes of different art system were setted up in undergraduate professional oil painting teaching which were called "Supaiban" and "Luopaiban"."Supaiban" was based on Cisca Kopf teaching system pursued by professorMakcnmob. k.m of the Soviet Union Surikov Academy of Fine Arts; and the "Luopaiban" was guided by artistic thought of professor Popa of Maria of Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest. The teaching experiment has caused concern in and out of the Sichuan Fine Arts School in many aspects, there were many comments about the teaching experiment,especially on the "Luopaiban" teaching and it’s impact, people were unable to agree on which is right. The oil painting professional class of1964implemented experiment.lasted for two years from the last term of1962to the next term of1964,, the experiment ended since the graduation of the students in class of1964.Time flies, fifty years in a short moment, with memories of the experiment gradually blurred, history also distanced and soon forgotten. For teachers and students participated in the experiment, the Experience of stay together day and night, those small daily happenings in learning, and the personal feeling touch in the process of participating in the experiment, careful thinking triggered by the process, criticism, and even the impact on their road of life, artistic career, all have become a complex deep in heart, and also haunting even though over seventy years of age.Looking back, we suddenly found that the experiment might not be a negligible thing; rediscover the role and significance which had never expected or cognitive in the experiment through flick the dust, regain its past, combing the experimental sequence of events,. The" Luopaiban" and the embodied Popa artistic thought can be regarded as an important historical events with node significance in modern oil painting history of China if the timely dissemination of "Luopaiban " and Popa artistic thought on China were regarded as a "challenge" meaning under the "unification" mode of Chinese painting education and creation fifty or sixty’s in the last century. Because the origin of this node can be traced back to the begining of the modern consciousness in China modern art history represented by "billows society" in twenty or thirty’s of last centuries, and is the begining of the rise of modern art after the reform and opening up in China. The significance of historical study and research on "Luopaiban" experiment carried out by Sichuan Fine Art Institute in the early sixty’s of last century is not just focus on it’s cognitive orientation in the history.This article carried out the research on the Sichuan Academy of fine arts "Luo school class" oil painting teaching from five aspects, they are the establishment background, teaching implementation process, artistic features, the ideas of art, achievements and influences, enlightenment of the "Luopai ban". The artistic focusing on the artistic characteristic of "Luopai ban" teaching and the ideas of art. Besides highlighting the difference between "Luo art" and "Su" art,our work also understand the "inclusive, open innovation consciousness educational events from the science and art of sociological dimension. To study a teaching measures in the last century in the early sixty Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in painting education from the angle of promoting the development and art prosperity. The cultural significance and historical influence The teaching experiment of Sichuan Academy of fine arts history especially "Luopai ban" will be highlighted, providing enlightenment for people in many aspects. This study will lay the foundation for promoting development of the Anti Japanese War painting art into the new century painting art.
