The Studies On Relationship Between The Quanzhen Taoism And The Government In Mid-Late Yuan Dynasty

The Quanzhen sect was the largest Taoism denomination in the north during the entire Mongol-Yuan period. As a result of three Buddhism and Taoism argumentations,Quanzhen sect’s forces was in gloom during govern of Kublai Khan.This thesis explores Quanzhen sect during the entire Mongol-Yuan period,especially performance of it in political dimension.The thesis reveals the development of Quanzhen sect after Kublai Khan’s domination,which is based on the chronological study-changes of national policy,the emperor’s reward and participation in government religious affairs.According the Quanzhen sect’s interaction with kings and queens,central-government officials and local officials,the thesis analyzes the relationship between Quanzhen sect and the government,makes a more comprehensive research about development of Quanzhen sect’forces in mid-late Yuan dynasty.
