Vocabulary teaching is an important link in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and the idiom is the most distinctive in the Chinese lexical system. In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language vocabulary, how to smoothly is a difficult but also need usto study deeply the problems of teaching Chinese idioms. This paper is mainly to study ina large number of Chinese Idioms Teaching Based on the author’s own teaching practice reading with overseas and on the student’s research activities. This paper first discusses the idiom teaching idioms, teaching Chinese as a foreign language and its significance; secondly,from the three elements of teaching teachers, students, teaching three aspects, we concluded that teachers in different stages of the function and requirements of the teaching skills ofthe students, through the analysis of the errors that cause students’ errors, statistics and analysis to the teaching material, the process of compiling teaching materials of Chinese idioms difficult, understanding of annotation and practice aspects and puts forward its own opinions on compiling teaching material; and finally sums up some opinions and suggestions forteaching Chinese as a foreign language, idioms and idiom teaching principle of teaching strategies, in order to make the idiom teaching can be perfect smoothly.
