Idiom is a fixed phrase that is a widely used in daily language. It contains a vivid and unique image of the rich and expressive. Chinese idioms have strong Chinese characteristics, and it is the primary ways for foreign students to understand Chinese society, folk culture and to keep the intercultural communication ability. But if the foreign students cannot understand these idioms deeply, they will encounter difficulties in communication and cannot exchanges with others. Therefore, the teaching of idiom is the key and the difficulty in foreign teaching Chinese.Currently, in Korea teaching classroom have to face the lack of instruction and teaching strategy to explore specific guidance on teaching idioms operation, and the lack of knowledge of Chinese idioms regard. Therefore, this paper focuses on visits of Chinese idioms teaching mentoring program. This article focuses on how to develop appropriate teaching strategies for specific situations. In teaching, we should fully understand the idiom problems, and use the proper teaching methods to improve the quality of teaching idioms, so that students can really understand the Chinese idiom, and learn the proper use of idioms. We hope this paper can help to improve on conventional Chinese language teaching.The thesis is divided into three parts to start on external teaching idioms.The first chapter describes the concept of idioms. According to the usual definition of language made by Chinese scholars, origin of idioms and phrases will be showed and then we can carefully to try to understand the causes.In the second chapter, through analyzing the characteristics of idiomatic meaning and structure we can make students grasp the exact usage of phrase.The third chapter is the most critical part of this thesis. First, it explains the necessity of teaching idioms. Then it proposes using feature idiomatic meaning and use idiomatic structural characteristics in the teaching program. Finally it shows how to utilize audio-visual media and games for teaching programs, and then introduce the exercise program of idioms.
