A Comparative Analysis With "Chinese Paradize" And "Chinese Treasure Chest"

Many good TCSL for adults has been published,but there are a lot of problems aboutthe materials for the children. Both the quantity and quality of the Children Chineseteaching materials need to improve a lot. The TCSL textbooks for children is differentfrom the TCSL textbooks for adults, because they serves different users.This article will compare “Chinese Paradize”and“Chinese Treasure Chest”.“ChineseParadize”is written by Chinese teachers. But “Chinese Treasure Chest”is written byAmerican Chinese teachers.There four chapters in the paper,as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the origin and the meaning of the paper,theresearch objects,theresearch method and the present situation of the research on overseasChinese textbooks for pupils.The second chapter mainly compares six aspects：writing principles, structure,topics,vocabularies, exercises and culture between the two sets of the Chinesetextbooks.Then I get the results of the advantages and disadvantages of two Chineseteaching textbooks,the features of the overseas Chinese materials and the mistakes of thetwo sets of the textbooks.The third chapter mainly introduces my suggestions for wrtting TCSL textbook forAmerican chldren.Based on the comparative research, we will know the results ofadvantages and disadvantages of two TCSL textbooks to improve the TSCL for children.The froth chapter mainly concludes the results and outline of the paper.
