This thesis takes two textbooks "Happy Chinese" and "Follow me with Chinese" as the main objects of research. Making a comparative study from two aspects:the content structure and style of these two textbooks, a study of comparative Language and Culture Project of the two textbooks.First of all, making an comparative study of the content structure, the style of these two textbooks. To introduce the content and structure of the two textbooks, making a comparative analysis of these two characteristics of each textbook, focusing on the difference of the structure and style in these two textbooks.Secondly, making a comparative analysis of the two teaching language and culture program arrangements.1.Contrasting topic. First of all, introducing the content and structure of the two textbooks, by comparing study, we have found that the topic in daily life and the social life takes the main parts of all. It means that two materials have attached great importance to select the topic of daily life and social life, and develop the students’basic living communicative ability. Secondly, make a comparative analysis of the same subject matter in which two materials with different presentation, we have found that "Learn Chinese with Me" are on the basis of the extension of "Happy Chinese", but the content becomes deeper, and express more and more closing to life with the breath of life.2.Vocabulary contrast. First of all, making a statistics of the new words in these two textbooks, and a statistics of the distribution, which each and each lesson’s new words. By comparing, we have found that, the depth of vocabulary increasing are along with the learning materials to enhance progressively, according to the laws of learning, and the distribution of its vocabulary is also very reasonable. Secondly, making a comparative analysis of the word interpretation of model of these two textbooks. We have found that,"Learn Chinese with Me," not only has the interpretation of words speech tagging, but also has for more complex key words, further more, annotating with the Bulgarian, this is a great help for the students who wants to learn Chinese. Repeating is a good way when you learn a foreign language, combing with the real experience in teaching, we have found that the students have mastered better in the higher reproduced vocabulary, than the others who has the low vocabulary. Therefore, we should focus on improving the repetition rate of new words in teaching.3.The contrast of cultural elements in the textbooks. Making a statistic of textbooks cultural elements, including poetry, songs, tongue twister and the other projects, making a comparative study of the proportion of cultural elements in these two materials, we have found that "Follow me with Chinese" has a higher proportion of cultural elements in these two materials. Therefore, the "Happy Chinese" should make the proportion of cultural elements a little higher. Meanwhile, we also found that these two textbooks on cultural elements do not have a good index, so it is not so conducive for the students and the introduction of the song is also too simple. Therefore, we think that we should add the title for these poem, and do an index for the song, the poetry and so on, and then as an appendix in the back of textbooks. When we choose the songs for the students,we should pay more attention to the students’ preferences, introducing the cultural elements and knowledge, meanwhile introducing some popular things, in order to attract the students’ interest in learning Chinese. So that the students not only can learn the language and cultural knowledge, but also can also feel the charm of Chinese.
