As one of Sushi’s six students, Lizhi was poor and solitary when he was young, because of hard endeavor he became a talented young man. Unfortunately he failed in the imperial examination for several times but his paper was still appreciated by Su so he gained good reputation as well. He returned to Yingchuan for farming in his middle-aged because of his tremendous disappointed for the politics. His books named collections of Jinnan, quotations of meritorship, pictures of De Yuzhai, and the first one is his main works which has been studied deeply by academia. The second one has being selected as our research object because there had no systematic research results before.This paper is divided into three chapters as following:Lizhi and his book quotations of mentorship, literary and historical value of quotations of mentorship, educational meanings of quotations of mentorship.The first chapter introduces the three main stages of Lizhi, the written time and visions of the book. Based on the research status, we confirm our research idea to find the significance of the subject selection, aimed to enrich the study results of Lizhi.The second chapter discusses the literary and historical values of this book. Content of this book is divided into four categories according its topics:talkings about poetry, anecdote of ghost, education and conduct, historical records. The former three categories aimed to find its literary and historical values in the views of literary perspective, and the last category aimed to find its complementary value for official history by comparison in the views of historiography.The third chapter discusses the educational meanings of this book. Based on studying the communications between Su and Li during the period xifeng and yuanyou and the records in the book quotations of mentorship, the educational thoughts of Su can been seen clearly, then combines with the inheritance backgrounds of Song dynasty, we discusses the educational meanings of Su and his students, and in turn, we can see Li had been influenced by the culture of Su and his students.
