The Application Of London Dumping Convention To The Japan’s Nuclear Accidents

The problem of marine dumping wastes has been the hot topic of theinternational community,the Japan’s nuclear accidents as well as other pollutionaccidents alarmed us that more serious environmental damage will follow by,everycountry has been made great efforts to establish a perfect management of marinedumping wastes,in order to control the ecological destruction caused by marinedumping waste.With the publication of the London Dumping Convention,the systemof marine dumping management started and the international community began to payattentions to the problem of marine dumping wastes pollution.However,everylegislation has its lag, with the fast developing of economy,the society are now beingconfronted some new contradictions,the convention have showed the limitations ofthe times.This article discusses the London Dumping Convention applies to theJapan’s nuclear pollution accidents.Intended to make a fully explanation of theapplication,this paper adopted document analysis method,empirical analysis methodand information analysis method and so on,then the paper analyzes the legalresponsibility that the Japan should shoulder.Through the analysis,the author of thepaper try to find the legal disadvantages of this convention,then,give some usefulsuggestions accordingly.Looking at the domestic and foreign works,the research onmarine dumping is very macro and simple,there is no detail discussions.This paperanalyzes the latest social event in order to conduct a detailed analysis on the LondonDumping Convention.In the end,the author make some recommendations to perfectthe marine dumping management.All of us are looking forward to resolving thisevent properly and promoting the development of the marine dumping management.
