In recent years, the continued occurrence of extreme weather caused people’sattention, climate deterioration is a complex global catastrophe, which influenced thesurvival and development of every country. In order to change deteriorating climatesituation and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, all the world has carried on thefruitful climate cooperation. The world’s largest developing country and developedcountries, China and the United States, as the world’s biggest greenhouse gas emissions,the effective cooperation are carried on between the two countries, laying the globalclimate cooperation foundation.Now global warming has become the consensus of mankind, the two countries havealso adopted some actions, but also having some differences and obstacles in the concreteideas and actions of cooperation, effective collaboration and existing barriers will have aprofound impact on the development of china-us economic and trade relationships.First of all, this paper makes a point about the importance of climate cooperationthrough the three theory angles of the national interests, sustainable development andclimate cooperation and international trade relationships; in the second place, describingachievements made from climate cooperation between China and the United States in thethree levels of government, non-governmental organizations and enterprise’s, climatecooperation between China and the United States presents a multi-channel, multi-leveland multi-field state; once again, the climate cooperation between China and the UnitedStates is not plain sailing, once again, analyzing divergences and cooperation obstacles ofthe two countries, which concluded that the two countries have the realistic motivation inclimate cooperation, including political and economic aspects; Finally, this article’sfoothold is to return to climate cooperation patterns between China and the United Statesmake the positive and negative effects on china-us economic and trade relations. Thepaper’s final purpose is to expect the two countries should make efforts to resolvedifferences, make due contributions for improving global climate conditions.
