The Effect Factor And Countermeasure Research Of China’s Participation In The GMS Economic And Trade Cooperation

In the rapid development of the globalization today, the regional economy,relying on the geopolitics, obtained a rapid development, and showed a strongmomentum of development. Such as the European Union and ASEANA as arepresentative of regional economic organizations played more and more importantrole in the development of the world economy and the international trade. Lancangriver-the Mekong sub-regional international economic cooperation is an importantfield in regional economic cooperation to our country at present. Because nationalgeographic positions of the countries in the GMS are adjacent, and they have the sameculture, the official and non-governmental association among them is good. All ofthese provide useful conditions to the cooperation between each other. At the sametime, it is also the forefront of Yunnan province. As a major way of opening up in thesouthwest border of our country, the deeper degree and the development prospect ofthe greater Mekong sub-regional cooperation organization no doubt play an importantrole in the development and safety of southwest area of China.Based on the related concept definition, such as: the regional economy,sub-regional economic, GMS, etc. The paper focuses on the international politicaleconomics (IPE), and takes the greater Mekong sub-regional economic cooperation asthe research object. Through the countries and market two elements in internationalpolitical economy, combing with the development of the greater Mekong sub-regionaleconomic cooperation, this paper further discussed the regional economic "economicand trade relations", so as to analyze the factors which affect China’s participation inGMS cooperation and put forward the corresponding measures.The study shows that economic and trade cooperation is the basis to thecooperation of the greater Mekong sub-region. Experiencing more than10yearsdevelopment, however, they had made good results, but the same time the problemssuch as "cooperation grass-root unit","the central and the local place is different""economic size differences""external power affects" and so on increasingly emerge.These hinder the further promotion of the GMS economic and trade cooperation.Therefore, we must be positive to face these problems and deal with them, only in thisway the greater Mekong sub-regional economic cooperation would play a bigger rolein promoting the development of the southwest area of china.
