Sun Yat-sen was a bourgeois democracy democratic revolutionist in modern China, theforerunner of the Chinese democratic revolution, whose thinking was profound. Among themthe livelihood of the people thought was an important part. The Sun Yat thought absorbed andlearnt from the traditional caring for people thinking and progressive ideas of western society,and inspired by the Marxist. Sun yat-sen made it achieve mastery through a comprehensiveand innovative, for the first time in China to build up the people’s livelihood thought system.Although it had certain limitations, he embarked from the attention to livelihood of the people,and to some extent reflected the objective demand of social development in China, andreflected Chinese people’s resistance to oppression, exploitation of resistance, the strongdesire in pursuit people’s happiness, and country strength.The livelihood of the people thought of Sun Yat-sen also had a tremendous impact toCommunist Party of China in building and practices the livelihood of the people thought. Since China’s reform and opening up, our people-oriented, pay attentionto the livelihood of the people, and realize scientific development, social harmony, make thelivelihood of the people enterprise saltant development, has initially formed the livelihood ofthe people thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the livelihood of the peoplethought of our party, consciously and unconsciously accepted the rational kernel of Sunyat-sen’s thinking on the livelihood of the people in theory and practice. Today, we study Sunyat-sen’s thinking on people’s livelihood in order to provide important historical reference andnutrient to our party in the theory and practice of the construction of the people’s livelihood,Sun yat-sen’s thinking on the livelihood of the people has important enlightenment function inour country to build socialist harmonious society, to build a new socialist countryside and tobuild a well-off society and so on all.There are three parts in this article, the first part mainly elaborates the historicalbackground and theoretical origin of Sun yat-sen’s livelihood thought; The second part discusses the main content of sun yat-sen’s thinking on the livelihood of the people, amongthem " equalization of land ownership " and " regulation of capital " are the core content ofSun yat-sen’s thinking on the livelihood of the people. They can provide precious data for the formation of the people’s livelihoodthought with Chinese characteristics, and have important reference for our country to addressagriculture, rural areas and farmers problems at present. It also have important reference valuefor the construction of socialist harmonious society, and have important enlightenmentfunction to expand the opening to the outside world and introduce foreign capital. At the sametime it have important reference function to the education development and reform of ourcountry. Therefore the reasonable content of Sun yat-sen’s thinking on the livelihood of thepeople still have important reference and enlightenment function for the current constructionof socialism with Chinese characteristics.
