A Study On Child Support

China’s current child support system cannot effectively protect the physical and mental health of minors. This paper firstly attempts to clarify the concept of child support, and then introduces China’s current child support system. Following that is the analysis of the defects and deficiencies of China’s current child support system. At last, some suggestions will be proposed to improve our child support system. The basic contents are as follows:The first chapter is an overview of the child support. The chapter has four sections:the concept of child support, a legal basis analysis of the rights and obligations of child support, the characteristics of child support, and the functions of the child support, the legislative overview of the child support system and its changes after the founding of PRC.The second chapter introduces some specific systems of the China’s current child support. This chapter consists of four sections:the subject of rights and the subject of obligations of child support system, the amount determined mode of child support system, the change system of child support system, the child support payments and enforcement system.The third chapter analyzes the defects and deficiencies of the China’s current child support system. The defects and deficiencies of China’s current child support system are mainly reflected in seven aspects.The fourth chapter gives some improvement suggestions for China’s child support system. After analyzing the defects and deficiencies of China’s current child support system, the author tries to put forward suggestions for improvement based on above mentioned defects. Finally, a summary about the child support system will be given and the author also will put forward the prospect of China’s legislation of child support.
