Since the1980s, China has entered into a rapid period of social transformation. Theeconomy of cities develops very fast. The infinitely better prospect has attracted manymigrant workers continue to flock to cites and towns. With the passage of time, migrantworkers also experienced the new and old generations. New generation of migrant workersusually refers to those who was born after1980and come into cities late in the1990s. Newgeneration of migrant workers in China has reached more than100million people to theend of2012, accounting for70%of the number of whole migrant workers. They are muchmore caring qualifications, education and exposure to new things than old generationmigrant workers. They are more eager to integrate into the city to be the city’s realacceptance, spiritual and cultural life has higher demand. In NPC&CPPCC AnnualSessions2012, the spiritual and cultural life of new generation of migrant workers has alsobeen concerned. In recent years, with the gradual popularization of the internet to penetrateevery aspect of our lives, the network for its communication efforts and rich informationresources, openness and equality and freedom a series of advantages to improve thespiritual and cultural life of new generation of migrant workers. According to the research,most of them had been to Internet cafes and very like the Internet, many people even usethe mobile phone to chat or browse the Web, some people also have their own PC. All ofthese have made some positive impact to their interpersonal exchanges, information intakeand the development of personality. The Internet has undoubtedly brought many benefits.But at the same time, there are also some negative impacts. The difficulty to control theinformation of Internet leads to a proliferation of negative content. This special group ofthe new generation of migrant workers can not always get rid of the embarrassmentpsychology of the edge of the city. Their special psychological characteristics contactprocess in a more exposed in the complex network environment. Not only cause physicaland mental health problems, but also the impact of their ideas, legal and moral awareness, social interaction.Therefore, researching the impact of network carrier on the new generation ofmigrant workers, analyzing the reasons and exploring coping strategies, has a greatsignificance to the spiritual of new generation of migrant workers and the development of aharmonious society in China. This essay took some large chain hotels’ staffs in Wuhan,Hubei Province, and visited the individual interviews, combined with collecting relevantdata, summarized and analyzed the positive and negative effects of the network carrier onthe new generation of migrant workers. Then it analyzes the reasons for negative impactson the main ideological and political education, internet, government and enterprise.This article is divided into five parts:The first part describes the purpose of this study and its significance, and analysisdomestic and international research on the generation of migrant workers, ideological andpolitical education situation and research ideas and methods.The second part describes the ideological and political education network carriersand the implications and characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers, theimportance of network carrier and the contact of the ideological and political education aswell as network carriers in the generation of migrant workers in the ideological andpolitical education.The third part used questionnaires and visited method to sum up the positive andnegative impacts of the network carrier on new generation of migrant workers.The fourth part analyzed the reasons of negative impact on new generation ofmigrant workers. They were mainly from the generation of migrant workers, internet,network environment, government and enterprises.The fifth part summarized some recommendations in the generation of migrantworkers, internet, network environment, government and enterprises.
