Most of the existing migrant workers in cities of China are born in1980. Thestatistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics in2012displayed that the ruralworkers born in1980s’ accounted for nearly60percent of the total rural workers,about100million people. They have made a great contribution to the development ofenterprises, cities and countries. However, due to the new generation of migrantworkers and urban society were both not quite ready to accept each other, their urbanadaptation is not too optimistic and has produced a series of problems in the processof urban adaptation.This study takes the generation of migrant workers in Hangzhou as the researchobject to explore their urban adaptation. The article centers around five issues:(1)Urban adaptation quo interpretation of the new generation of migrant workers. Thequestionnaire of the study was designed on the basis of the literature about the newgeneration of migrant workers. The study was based on the empirical investigation tounderstand and grasp the new generation of migrant workers’ urban adaptation statusquo in economic, political, cultural, psychological;(2)The new generation of migrantworkers’ urban adaptability means T-test and variance test. The study took analysismeans of mathematical statistics means of comparative analysis and correlationanalysis to analyzes the new generation of migrant workers’ cities adaptability, anddid difference test in the urban adaptation on different demographic characteristics,social interaction, identity awareness, transformation will, and political interests;(3)Studying of the new generation of migrant workers’ urban adaptation Factors. Thestudy which based on the perspective of social psychology, political science,sociology, ideological and political education, analyzed reasons causing the new generation of migrant workers’ political aphasia, culture shock, value conflicts,psychological imbalance adaptation from multi-angle analysis;(4) Suggestions. Thestudy explored measures and suggestions to promote the generation of migrantworkers’ urban adaptation from the government, society and individuals. The studyconsidered that, in one hand, the city government and society should be further createthe objective conditions for the new generation of migrant workers, on the other hand,the new generation of migrant workers have to adjust their subjective state of mind,and actively integrate into urban society;(5) Conclusion. Revealing the presence ofinadequacies and looking forward to the prospect of problem-solving of the newgeneration of migrant workers’ urban adaptation.
