Antonio Gramsci is a famous leader of the Communist Party of Italy in twentiethCentury, the great warrior is the Marx doctrine. Thoughts of Gramsci’s politicalphilosophy runs through Gramsci’s deep understanding of the Marx doctrine and thefurther explanation, also runs through Gramsci practical philosophy idea of theobjective world, profound thinking of western civil society and ideology, culturalhegemony, which formed part of Gramsci’s political thought. Although, Gramsci’stheory about political philosophy with distinctive characteristics of the times, but thepractical philosophy, political, cultural hegemony theory for today’s construction ofsocialist spiritual civilization of our country still have great revelation. This paper takesGramsci’s political thinking on political philosophy, theory content of Gramsci and itspractical significance in contemporary society.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part introduced the researchsignificance and academic value, analysis the research status at home and abroad,research methods and research purpose and research ideas and the structure of the thesis;the first chapter of the Gramsci political philosophy theory basis; the second chapterdescribes the basic content of Gramsci’s political philosophy theory " prison notes "; thethird chapter elaborated the aim, namely the realistic significance of Gramsci’s politicalphilosophy theory; the last is the summary.In short, Gramsci is one of the few to in Marx’s political thought out to discuss andtheorists expansion. Although, Gramsci many theories were written in prison conditions,and some points of view of these theories may not take place in reality, but the partytheory Gramsci’s cultural hegemony theory, expounded in today still have a lot of flashpoint.
