Study On The Political Democratization Issues In Shanxi-gansu-ningxia Border Region During Anti-japanese Period

During the period of the anti-Janpanese war, hence the Kuomintang and theCommunist Party achieved the second cooperation. CCP gained legitimate rein in theShanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. In order to put the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia BorderRegion to become the strategic rear area and the command center as well as to completethe arduous task of anti-Japanese national salvation, a series of democratic politicalconstruction were carried out in the region by the Communist Party. The practice of the democraticpolitics construction always proceeded according to the reality of China. Highlighting thecharacteristics of the unified leadership of Communist party, the combination ofresistance and democracy, it had made huge achievements: It not only promoted thedemocratic politics construction of the district effectively, but also improved the ChineseCommunist Party’s prestige greatly and found the way to jump out of “historical periodiclaw”. Thus, Yan’an became a sacred place of the revolution and the magnet for youth.The Chinese democratic political construction in the proper sense established itsexsistence from then on. The democratic political construction in Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Regionhas accumulated rich historical experience for the political democratization andmodernization of the CCP. Although the democratic political construction inShanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region is slightly imperfect from the modern politicalscience perspective, the construction is still a successful attempt under the historicalbackground. It has a positive and far-reaching historical significance while theexperience is also indeed a much valuable spiritual wealth for us today.
