Harmonious Relationship Construction Between The Police And The People On The Grass-roots Social Management

The relation between the police and the public is one of the most important socialrelationships in our country. Building a harmonious relationship between the police andthe public is not only an important goal and content, but also an important premise andguarantee for the public security team construction; what’s more, it is an importantfoundation in building a harmonious society. In many complex social relations, therelation between the police and the pubic are harmonious or not affects the image of theChinese Communist Party and the government, and maintain the stability of the regime, soit is more important and sensitive. During the period of the economic system transitingfrom a planned economy to a market economy, and social management mode transitingfrom static closed to the dynamic and open-type, the relationship between the police andthe public is misfit, emerge disorder and conflict, even evolved into confrontation, to someextent.According to the requirements of the scientific outlook on development, building aharmonious relationship between the police and the public could solder the fundamentalwork and win public support and understanding for the public security organs, which isthe demand for comprehensive、coordinated and sustainable growth in the public securitywork.Literature analysis, comparative analysis, system analysis, inductive analysis andother methods are mainly used in the writing. This article studies the harmoniousrelationship between the police and the public in the cell of county social management,combined with the actual public security work and team construction as well as thedevelopment course of relations between the police and the public in Chinese and foreigncountry, proposed the meaning and importance of building a harmonious relationshipbetween the police and the public, then analysed the main reasons for the existingproblems that affect harmonious development of relations between the police and thepublic. Take,for example, Dongkou county in Hunan province, first, summed up the mainachievements of the grass-roots harmonious relationship construction between the policeand the public, then, pointed out some existing shortcomings, analysed the root causes ofthe problem, finally, The article deeply discussed the harmonious relations constructionbetween the police and the public and put forward some suggestions on this problem.
