| Mao Zedong’s democratic thought is an important part of Mao Zedong thought, is theinheritance and development of the Marxist concept of democracy. Mao Zedong for andarduous exploration are realized people be in power of the democratic system, which hasgreat achievements and successful experiences, and there are serious faults and painfullessons. Therefore, careful study of Mao Zedong democratic ideas, and is of greatsignificance for the social construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.The first chapter describes the basic theory of democracy, introduces the meaning ofdemocracy, democratic type and the historical evolution of Marxism democratic ideas,make people form a correct concept of democracy, a correct view of Mao Zedong’sdemocratic thought.
