Research On China’s Open Of Political Affairs In Principal-agent Angle

The open of political affairs is the inevitable trend of modern politics, the basic requirement tomodern governments in information age and the necessary condition for a country to integrate inthe world in the era of economic globalization. After long-time theory exploration and politicalpractice, western developed countries have formed a complete open system. In contrast, China’spractice in the open of political affairs is still in the primary stage and there are still variousproblems in many areas. The study of the open of political affairs is an important way to improvethe credibility of the government, but also the inherent requirement of the service-orientedgovernment. With economics theory, this paper analyses the open of the political affairs from theperspective of principal-agent theory. The principal-agent relationship arose after the separation ofownership and management. The theory of principal-agent, which mainly focuses on theprincipal-agent relationship, can not only be used to analyze economic issues, but also for everyexistence of the principal-agent relationship. Based on the introduction of the principal-agenttheory and the current situation of China’s open of political affairs, this paper regards therelationship between citizen and government as a principal-agent relationship. By using themodels of the principal-agent theory, it analyses the problems of China’s open of political affairsthoroughly from citizen participation, incentive mechanism and supervision mechanism, andfinally proposes the path selection to solve the problems.
