In the paper, the author raises his concerns about the current problemof private information protection and potential solution in China, arisingfrom his own apartment-buying experience.We will find that private information is not a completely newconcept and there are some cases regarding private information protection.The only difference is that it is getting more and more serious with thedevelopment of information technology.First, in order to explore how to protect private information, currentsituation analysis and weakness evaluation in China are done, from threedifferent perspectives (legal protection, self-principle organization andthirty party protections).Second, the author has a detailed comparison of protection modebetween UN, USA and Japan. And at the same time, try to find theirpolitical, social and economic roots and their reference on that of China.Finally, the author try to find a reasonable and suitable solution in China, after studying local environment and overseas’ experience.
