Marx’s hominology thought is an important thought in Marx’s theory. It’s a focusconcerned by western Marxists for nearly half a century, and after introduced into China inthe fifties and sixties of the20th century, has caused the extensive research of scholars in ourcountry. Marx’s theory contains abundant of hominology thoughts, and the formation ofMarx’s hominology thoughts is an important transformation in the history of the humanresearch. Only when comprehensively and accurately expounds the views of Marx’shominology thought, can deeply grasp its spiritual essence and contemporary value.This paper first introduces the theory origin of Marx’s hominology thought: thehominology thought in the ancient Greek period is the basis of Marx’s hominology thought,and the Renaissance hominology thought has important influence on Marx’s hominologythought, the hominology thought of German classical philosophy is a direct theoretical source.And then expounds formation and development of Marx’s hominology thought. It mainlyincludes four periods: the doctorate dissertation period, Marx regarded self-awareness as theessence of man; the Rhine newspaper period, Marx regarded humans’ rational and freedom ashuman nature; the German and French yearbook period, Marx first explicitly put forward thethought of human liberation, and points out that only the proletariat can bear the greathistorical mission of all mankind liberation; the manuscript period, Marx had a newunderstanding of the nature of people, study on human nature started from "realistic people".After having discussed the formation process of early hominology thought, summarizes themain contents and characteristics of early hominology thought. Marx’s early hominologythought mainly includes man’s essence thought, man’s alienation thought, man’s liberationthought and man’s development thought, and its characteristics also includes four aspects:from the formation process, Marx’s hominology thought is in constant development andchange of perfect; From the content point of view, Marx’s hominology thought iscomprehensive; From a functional point of view, Marx’s hominology thought has practicality;From the method point of view, Marx’s hominology thought is close to real life. Last partthrough the analysis of Marx’s early hominology thought, reveals the value of Marx’s earlyhominology thought,points out that Marx’s hominology thoughts not only provides a scientific method to theory research but also has an important theoretical and practical valueto China’s modernization.
