The Mencius Administrative Aesthetic Theory

Management is one of the most basic social activities of mankind.Whatever management activities must obey the instruction of certain managementtheory, which are always controlled by certain management thinking. What we calladministrative aesthetics is that with the help of all manpower, material andfinancial resources leaders in administrative department, under the action of plan,organizing and practice, combine the management science and aesthetics to exerciseadministrative activities of humanization and aesthetics, in order to accomplishvarious tasks and achieve management goals. Chinese civilization is the onlycontinuous ancient civilization in human history endowing with abundantmanagement experience. Chinese ancient administrative aesthetic ideology,centering on Confucianism, plays an inerasable role and place in Chinese ancientmanagement activities, especially the ideology of pre-Qin Confucianism with itsvalue the most important. That is to say, administrative management aestheticideology of pre-Qin Confucianism forms the basic framework of Chinese ancientadministrative aesthetics, among which one of the most important representatives isMencius’. Aesthetic Ideology of Mencius Administrative Management makes animportant contribution to the forming of historical status and value in pre-QinConfucian culture. Upon future study, refining and integrating, these ideologies areundoubtedly of great theoretical and practical value to today’s aestheticaladministrative management. Meanwhile, with future development and reform ofChinese society, there occur various issues in the management of organization,human resources and talents-training. Based on the above issues, using explanationmethod, this thesis will study the aesthetic ideology of Mencius’ administrativemanagement and try to find the traditional scientific basis, which forms today’smanagement aesthetics of national features from it.This thesis can be divided into four parts. The introduction part will discuss theAesthetic Ideology of Mencius’ Administrative Management, whose theoreticalbasis is “theory of original goodness of human nature”,which means that itsobjective is policy of benevolence.The important point of this part is to introduce its research significance. The purpose of this study is to promote the practice ofaesthetic administrative management and its means and ways from the point of themanaged view. The first chapter gives a description of the main content, valueconnotation and thinking methods of Aesthetic Ideology of AdministrativeManagement. It discusses that Aesthetic Ideology of Mencius’ AdministrativeManagement is to support the people and enrich the people, among which theunique economic administrative aesthetics is the theory of holding immovableproperty-real estate. This chapter also contains the Aesthetic Ideology of Mencius’Talent Administrative, including educating, self-management of it and talents-usingthought. And at last it gives four points on current value of Aesthetic Ideology ofMencius’ Administrative Management. The first point is the return of thekindheartedness management; the second is the management gist of “mastering thebasic theory and gaining the agile management skills”; the third point isself-management completes the combination of moral cultivation and moral practice;the fourth point is that national administrative management aesthetic ideology,centering on policy of benevolence, enriches the humanistic connotation of servingthe people.From the main content, we conclude its value connotation and then put forwardits way of thinking. These three factors become the link points of AestheticIdeology between Mencius’ Administrative Management and today’s AdministrativeManagement. The second chapter mainly discusses the philosophic value of it,which points out its core point of view is that the populace is the main part of thecountry; if the ruler wants to govern the country steadily and lastingly, he mustfollow the will of his people and gain its support, that’s to say-“The people are moreimportant than the ruler.” Obviously this is also important to the establishment oftoday’s aesthetic ideology of administrative management, which can be extended tocountry and general administrative department. The success of their administrativeactivities depends on the completion of humanization and anesthetics. Using thepith of aesthetic ideology of Mencius administrative management for reference andabsorbing its essentials to promote the development of current Chineseadministrative management of humanization and aesthetics. The third chaptermainly discusses the enlightenment of aesthetic ideology of Mencius administrativemanagement to aesthetic ideology of administrative management.
