Study On The Problems Of Food Safety Administrative Inspection In China

The frequent occurrence of food safety incidents has caused the worldwide attention to food safety issues. Food safety issues, are not only involves in the health of the masses, but also affects the country’s political stability, economic development and social progress. In recent years, food safety incidents in China continue to occur, food security has become the important livelihood issues which is an urgent need to be met.Behind each food safety incidents,there are often the administrative inspection omission, inefficient, and even dereliction of duty of the administrative organs and their administrative staff. Food safety administrative inspection is one of the important means of administrative enforcement,the indispensable important part to achieve the administrative functions, and the important actors to prevent problems of food safety. Therefore,to solve the food safety problems is inseparable from the effective operation of administrative inspection.However, there are a series of problems of China’s food safety administrative inspection just as follows:the lack of legal basis for administrative inspection, administrative inspection organs have poor coordination, administrative inspection mechanism is imperfect, the standards for administrative inspection are behind the criteria,administrative inspectors are flawed.Therefore, we have to strengthen the food safety administrative inspection to improve the food safety conditions,we should promote the legal construction of administrative inspection, continue to promote the integration of food safety administrative inspection functions, improve the food safety administration inspection mechanism, update food safety standards, and strengthen the construction of the administrative law enforcement contingent.
