The Realistic Predicament And Guarantee Of Villagers’ Right To Known

The right to know is one of the basic rights of citizens. As the economydevelops and the functions of the society are multiplying, the relationshipbetween the right to know and the peoples’ interests of political, economic andlife gradually become more and more closely, so citizens aware of therequirements of the government information and other information related totheir own interests have become increasingly urgent. Therefore, how to protectthe exercise of the right to know has become the standard measure of a countryof democracy and the degree of civilization of the rule of law. In China, villagersare a special group among all the citizens, so the right to know has the basicposition and special value to protect their rights and interests. But because of theChina rural special political environment and the limitations of villagers’knowledge and capacity, the realization of the right to know of the villagers stillexists some deficiencies extent which brings some negative influence. Toimprove the mechanism to ensure the right to know of the villagers and protectthe villagers’ interests without the relevant authority’s abuse is one of theproblems must solve. This thesis is of theoretical significance and practical valuein this level.This text is divided into three sections.First section: Basic knowledge of villagers’ right to know. This sectiondiscusses the meaning, characteristics and the historical evolution of the right toknow, and then demonstrates the contents and achievements of the villagers’ theright to know. This is the basic part to write.Second section: This part analyzes the problems and the reasons in theprocess of implementation of the villagers the right to know in our country, anddo the groundwork for the third part of the paper.Third section: On the basis of the second part, this section gives someadvice from five areas such as the legislative, judicial relief system, grass-rootsorganization construction to improve and protect the villagers’ right to know.
