Analysis Of China’s Current Program For Civic Morality

Since the past30years of china’s reform and opening up, great changes have taken placein social economic life and values etc. A series of problems such as moral anomie anddislocation of values are emerging in our social life. However,the citizen moral constructionhas become an important part of developing Chinese characteristic socialism. This thesisproposes constructive countermeasures to our citizen moral construction by analyzing citizenmoral problems and it’s reasons.First of all, based on expounding the connotation of civic morality and the aim of moralconstruction,this thesis shows clearly that strengthening the construction of civic moralityhas more realistic meanings. Through the definition of civic morality, it points out thespecific content of civic morality as well as the direction for our citizen moral construction.Secondly, this thesis indicates the achievements and deficiencies in the construction bymaking a comprehensive analysis of the current citizen moral construction. In spite of moralmuteness and moral shunning, people’s inner desire for good morality mode does not vanishand there are a lot of ordinary people using ordinary behaviors to stick to ethics,calling andpraising morality and promoting the morality construction. This is what we need during themoral construction. Thirdly, finding the underlying reasons about the moral anomie throughsome phenomena in our society. One of the reason is the system is not perfect. Another is thetraditional moral experience are no longer apply to the current development of civic morality.At the same time, it also appears some negative factors in the development of society. Third,supervision about the unethical behavior by public opinion is not severe. Finally, we shouldput forward some constructive countermeasures and learn some reasonable constructionexperiences from other countries. On one hand,we shall cultivate the moral responsibilityand subjective consciousness of our citizens in order to lay a solid foundation for moralconstruction. On the other hand, to provide institutional guarantee and powerful legal supportfor moral construction and perfect the unreasonable and unfair parts in this institution. Andthen, optimizing environment of social morality so as to build a good social atmosphere formoral construction. Last but not the least,we should strengthen the direction and supervisionof social morality. At the same time, to promote various forms of social public welfareactivities. Only in this way can it purify people’s hearts and lead the right direction for citizenmoral construction.
