Research On The Cultivation Of Combat Spirit Of Young Cadets In Military Academies

War is a contest not only of physical strength but also mental strength. The combat spirit, which is the essential part of mental strength in warfare, plays an important role in winning a war. Military cadets are the growing strength of our military combat power, and we must attach great importance to the cultivation of their combat spirit. Based on methods of document research, comparative study and survey analysis, this paper firstly indicates the significance of combat spirit cultivation of young military cadets. Secondly, this paper studies how to refine the main content of combat spirit through the four links of “desire, capability, courage and success of fighting ”. Thirdly, this paper reviews the current status of combat spirit cultivation of young military cadets, followed by an in-depth analysis of the problems and causes in combat spirit cultivation of young military cadets. Lastly, this paper proposes some suggestions, including enhancing education, expanding military training, focusing on strict discipline, fostering good campus culture, setting good examples, and improving the training mechanisms.
