| Raw high sulphur copper ore contains high sulphur and it is oxidizable and the mineral is of changeable floatability, if singular differential flotation or mixed flotation process is adopted for ore selection and process, the agent consumption, more often than not, is high and the middling circulation is oversized, separation effect is poor and the index is not ideal. The high sulphur copper ore researched in this paper is taken from Shangri-La, Yunan Province. The raw ore is of block structure. The sulfide mineral and gangue mineral are of close symbiotic relationship in the ore block. Meanwhile, it is also associated with mineral aggregate of clay and oxide mineral, namely metal sulphide ore.There are three kinds of raw ores, taken from three ore occurrences separately. The rate of mixed ore sample is5.73%and the copper rate of some ores is as high as8%. Copper mineral exists in the form of copper pyrites. The core is of high sulfur content which is as high as16.96%in the raw ore. Sulfur mainly exists in the form of pyrrhotite, making up30.80%of the raw ore; there exists little gold in the sulphide ore sample. Native gold or carrier mineral of gold cannot be found in electron probe micro-analysis. Gold element is mainly scattered in sulfide mineral, with high enrichment difficulty. It can be found that the ore is typically with high sulphur and high copper contents. Therefore, the ore separation is very difficult.Considering the original production field, process flows such as singular flotation, stage grinding and stage separation, combination of floatation and gravity as well as combination of floatation and magnet are proposed on the basis of ore process mineralogy research. Besides, contrast test research is done to the flows and many tests are done for gold recycle. The final test shows that singular flotation is the most effective flow for copper recycle. And only the method of carrier flotation can be adopted for gold recycle. The grade of the copper ore concentrate available is21.43%and the recovery rate for copper is97.99%. The gold content in copper ore concentrate is approximately1g/t in copper ore concentrate and copper content in tailings is0.16%; the available sulphur ore concentrate shall be further separated. If the combination flow for flotation and magnet is adopted, the available grade for copper ore concentrate is21.21%and the recovery rate for copper is97.46%. Gold content in copper ore concentrate is about1g/t and the content of copper in tailings is less than0.1%; meanwhile, sulphur ore concentrate can be obtained and the content of sulphur is more than35%. |
