The water pollution of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs was investigated in this paper. Through the analysis of the annual, monthly monitoring data and intensive monitoring data of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs, also the the point source and non-point source data provided by Chongqing Rongchang Environmental Protection Agency, the extent of the Gaoshengqiao reservorirs eutrophication was evaluated to find the main factors that lead to water body pollution of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs. The results showed that the water in the water intake of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs dam and the new Toyohashi was below standards perennially. According to the Grade Ⅱ, the main exceeded factors were total nitrogen, total phosphorus, potassium permanganate index and fecal coliform. We also found that the water quality of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs failed to meet class Ⅱ standards of centralized drinking water in the protected area, the main excessive factors were potassium permanganate index, total phosphorus, total nitrogen and fecal coliform, especially the total phosphorus.Contraposed the Gaoshengqiao reservorirs reservoir water pollution, the single factor of the water quality and the eutrophication were assessed according to the score and grade of lake eutrophication. The results showed that Gaoshengqiao reservorirs reservoir can not reach standard of the surface Grade Ⅱ and its water body was in the richnutritional stage. To find the relationship of the pollution factor, the correlation analysis was made between the pollution index of overlying water, interstitial water and sediment, which indicated that in the overlying water the ammonia and dissolved total nitrogen was significantly related and the dissolved total nitrogen and total nitrogen was also significantly related. That showed the content of the reservoir water suspended matter is low, the total nitrogen in the water column was mainly from dissolved total nitrogen. On the other hand, ammonia is a major component of the solubility of total nitrogen in water, which means the water body nitrogen pollution of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs is mainly caused by ammonia. The total phosphorus in sediments and the inorganic phosphorus in interstitial water were significantly related. The total nitrogen in sediment and the ammonia in the interstitial water were also significantly related. That proved the interstitial water was the medium of the migration between the sediment and the nutritional elements in the overlying water.According to the the Rongchang EPA pollution load data and endogenous pollution load calculations, the storage capacity of the pollution load and water environment of Gaoshengqiao reservorirs reservoir in the township was analyzed, which indicated that the ammonia emissions was less than the maximum allowable emissions, compared with the Gaoshengqiao reservorirs Reservoir Basinamount pollutantand the status quo emissions. while the total nitrogen, total phosphorus status quo emissions were2.93times and5.94times of the maximum allowable pollutant amount and the status quo emissions of the chemical oxygen demand were just over the maximum allowable pollutant amount. The total reduction of COD in every township was402.01t/a, ammonia nitrogen to1.97t/a, TN249.76t/a, TP24.3t/a. Each township are subject to reduce the total nitrogen and total phosphorus and reduction ratio should be high.
