Since the nineteen nineties, heavy medium cyclone coal preparation plays a more and more important position in the coal separation technology, and research institutes in different country have done a lot of research and exploration in the heavy medium coal preparation process, washing equipment and control system etc. At present, the heavy medium coal washing equipment tends to the characteristic of large-scale, simple washing process, full of measurement in control system.With the rapid development of computer technology, communication technology, network technology and the automatic control technology, the level and range of industrial automation has undergone tremendous change. The control system take the network as the core, has formed a new control mode with the characteristics of distributed control, centralized operation, classification management, convenient configuration, flexible configuration. In the automatic control of heavy medium cyclone production process, due to the wide application of automatic measure and control instrument and computer technology, can realize the suspension of entrance pressure on-line control, optimal control of suspension liquid density, liquid level automatic control and the quality of the products yield and economic index. In order to improve production efficiency, improve the rate of qualified products, qualified medium density control in the production system is particularly important.In this paper, taking Yunnan Lufeng industry investment and energy limited liability company design and upgrading coal washing control system for the background, in-depth analysis of the heavy medium coal washing process requirements and process parameter control requirements. Due to the control of heavy medium parameters (density, liquid level) dynamic nonlinear characteristics and mutual relations, it is difficult to establish mathematical model, precise therefore, this topic use the solution of fuzzy control method. Using PID regulator, according to the relationship between the dynamic changes of parameters in the process, establish mathematical model of heavy medium coal preparation process control system.According to the requirement of process and control, analysis of the overall structure of the heavy medium coal washing control system, we can use advanced control technology, design a set of heavy medium coal washing control system.In the hardware configuration, the use of Schneider quantum65150PLC as the lower computer, through the programming realizes data acquisition, conversion, on-site electrical equipment control and operation of fuzzy control module and other functions.Using INSPEC general monitoring configuration software as the host machine, development configuration picture to realize remote real-time monitoring, parameter setting, coal washing process alarm indicator and trend display. Finally completed the whole system hardware configuration, software configuration, system communication and program development.After several on-site system debugging, the final commissioning run normally, realizes the automatic control of the heavy medium coal washing process. From the comparative analysis of the theoretical results and practical operation show that, using the control theory and advanced control technology in the heavy medium coal washing process control system, to achieve control of the heavy medium coal washing requirement and meet the function requirement of production control, achieved good control effect.
