Research Fastness And Printing Quality Color Pigment Inkjet Printing Inks

Inkjet printing ink, as digital jet printing ink which is similar to other mode of printing, isthe main consumables in the digital printing production. Nowadays the study of inkjet printingink has become the necessary part of the development of ink jet printing technology. Thepigment ink is a hot study field which has advantages such as popularity, simple crafts, nosewage discharge and light resistance, but the pigment ink also has limitations, it’s color displayon fiber surface is based on small pigment particles, so that, the fastness to rubbing and soapingof products are weak. The printing quality of Printing inks on the substrate surface will alsodetermine its ability to occupy a favorable position in the fierce market competition. Therefore,in order to obtain better printing results, the study of pigment-based ink-jet printing colorfastness and printing quality is very important.The paper concentrate on the preparation and improvement of property of inkjet printing ink,in order to get the excellent ink samples with fluent spray printing, high color fastness and sprayprinting quality. The influence of humectant on ink drying is studied as well as the improvementof drying on spray printing fluency. The influence of glue distribution proportion, bakingcrafts(baking time and baking temperature), the kind, content of fixing agent and fixingcrafts(fixing time and fixing temperature) on fastness are studied. Finally, via the propertyimprovement of ink, the impacts from surface tension and viscosity on printing quality(apparentcolor depth, clarity, color parameters (L, C), permeability.)are discussed, so as the varieties ofcotton fabrics on the printing quality.Study results indicate that: the variety and content of humectant have remarkable influenceon ink drying and the compound of humectant perfects the spray printing fluency. Thecompound proportion of adhesion agent(waterborne polyurethane and acrylic resin), bakingcrafts (baking temperature and baking time) have much impacts on color fastness, soaping colorfastness and rubbing fastness can be well with the definite best compound proportion3:1andbaking crafts(baking temperature180℃and baking time2.5min). The addition of fixing agentcan improve the color fastness on cotton fabric. Different kinds and contents of fixing agent havedifferent impacts on color fastness, and different fixing agent with different fixing crafts (fixingtime and fixing temperature) also has various outcomes. The appropriate fixing agent FK-500and content3%are adopted under the best fixing craft (baking temperature180℃and bakingtime2min) can obtain an ideal result. Surface tension and viscosity have a significant impact onthe depth of the apparent color, clarity, vividness of the color, and the ink permeability. Different kinds of cotton fabrics have diverse impacts on the depth of the apparent color, clarity, vividnessof the color, and the ink permeability, High printing quality can be obtained by selecting suitablecotton fabric and inkjet printing ink.
