Digital inkjet printing technology stands out from the traditional printing technology.This is because it has a short printing process,can save energy such as water,electricity,steam,dyes and other additives,printing colors is bright,rich,distinct,and good fastness.However,the disadvantages of digital inkjet printing are that the nozzles of its printing machines are easy to block and expensive,and the cost of printing inks is high.The ink quality is the main reason for the impact of the nozzle service life,such as it's solid particle size,viscosity,surface tension,stability and so on.Moreover,the ink on the market is uneven,there is no uniform standard specification,and the price is so expensive,limiting the development of inkjet printing.Based on the study of the preparation and properties of ink-jet inks,reactive inks were applied to digital printing.Research of the pretreatment starching process and the steam fixation process which impact on the printing effect..By analyzing dye performance and the experiments of single-factor process optimization,conducted to screen out suitable dyes and necessary additives such as solvents,humectants,surfactants,and chemical stabilizers,etc.Then the orthogonal experimental was carried out to analyze and determine the process parameters such as the ratio of additives and the amount of additives,and the best preparation process of ink jet printing ink was achieved: 9% for cosolvent(amides),4% for humectants(polyglycols C),and 0.6% for macromolecular polymers.(PEG 4000),7% for solvent(organic ketone),0.4% for surfactant(OP10 : sulfonate = 4 : 1),and 0.5% for chemical stabilizer(sorbate).In this process,the excellent ink performance reach the requirements of commercial ink,such as surface tension,viscosity,p H value,particle size,electrical conductivity,high chemical stability.The pretreatment sizing process was the main process for improving the dyeing of reactive dye inks.The experiment compares the printing effect of traditional sodium alginate(SA)and homemade modified paste(HC),and through the orthogonal experiment to optimize the best sizing technology: the paste concentration was 4%(sodium alginate :self-made paste = 1:1),the sizing rate was 15% ~ 20%,the sodium carbonate was 10 ~ 15g/L,and the urea was 30 ~ 35 g/L,the anti-staining salt S was 3 ~ 5 g/L.The steaming fixation process can ensure that the reactive dye ink was fixed to the fabric by the capillary effect,and the influence of the steaming time and the steaming temperature on the printing performance was studied.Comparing the effects of dyes fixing on the fibers,found under saturated steam(102 ?)the steaming time reaches 8 ~ 10 min,solid color effect is remarkable.The optimization of the sizing process and fixing process in the fixing rate of73.92%~74.2%,the soaping-fastness was 4 level,the dry rubbing fastness was 5 level,and the wet rubbing fastness was 4-5 level under the optimum process.The printed fabric has bright colors,good fastness,vivid patterns,clear outlines,and it is comparable to the commercial inks.In the digital inkjet printing process,the nozzle was not blocked,the stability was good,and the cost was far lower than the commercial ink.
