Main propulsion remote control system is used to manipulate remote primarypower plant on the ship, such as diesel engines, propellers and other equipment, is animportant part of the ship engine room automation system. At the present timefoundation of China’s Marine equipment industry is weak, domestic marineequipment occupied a small percentage, large tankers and container ships mainpropulsion remote control system basically monopolized by foreign companies, suchas Kongsberg and SAM. Domestic ship’s main propulsion remote control systemmainly for inland and offshore medium-speed ships, just meet the basic remoteoperation and monitoring function of the main engine.The main work of this thesis is to conduct independent research of the mainpropulsion remote control system. First conduct a market survey, select the MANB&W S60MC main propulsion as control object. Then analysis the requirements ofChina Classification Society, and according to the regulatory requirements modulardivided the remote control system, raised the main propulsion remote control systemdesign proposal. Consider the high reliability and real-time requirements, systemnetwork architecture using two-stage network design, distributed control. Underlyingnetwork use redundancy CAN fieldbus network the upper core network adoptIndustrial Ethernet, both to achieve a real-time control data reliably, but also to meetthe upper monitoring data rapid transmission. The system uses an open design, thestandards module increase or decrease convenient, which made system configurationmore flexible; Humanized operation interface, the main operating through variousdisplay devices (integrated display and control module and intelligent handle), agraphical man-machine mode, simple operation and less error prone.Complete hardware modules developed include intelligent handle module,integrated display and control module, remote control module, local lever display.Integrated display and control module for full touch design, using a combination ofvisual and tactile manipulation through the touch LCD display of the traditionalcontrol panel, indicator panel as well as the function of the display instrument. The remote control system using VxWorks operating system and program development tofollow the concept of modular control functions can be realized when the controlobject changes only need to update one or several program modules.To verify that the remote system control strategy and the performance indicators,designed hardware-in-the-loop of the control object Simulation System. Target thelow-speed diesel engine MAN B&W S60MC to establishment integratedmathematical model. Use the dSPACE running diesel engine model, the simulateddiesel power unit steady-state and transient performance. PID control algorithm isused to adjust the diesel speed, with the help of powerful dSPACE real-timesimulation platform, to optimize the design of the speed control algorithm.By building a prototype, not only achieved the function of the main propulsionremote control system, but also verified the performance index of the remote controlsystem. From the mobility and safety aspects to the test controller, the results showthat the governor not only active load control programs to protect the engine quicklycontrol the engine acceleration, deceleration and emergency reverse. In simulatedconditions, the engine oil supply can adjust speed steady to avoid engine over speedor stopping. The test data indicate that the performance indicators can meet therequirements of CCS regulations.The results of this study have better control performance and good economic,also have broad prospects. It is important both to break the monopoly of foreignbrands, and improve the competitiveness of our products.
