Respect For The Natural Environment Of Architectural Design

A hundred years ago, through the Revolution of1911, numerous Chinese people with lofty ideals overthrew the Qing Dynasty and established Democratic Republic System, putting an end to the traditional monarchy regime in China. At the same time, the western modernism thoughts sped up the awakening of China, western modernism thoughts sped up the awakening of China, promoting the formation of modern China. During the hundred years, China has achieved great progress in industrialization, technicalization and urbanization, however, more and more people are ignoring the environmental protection. As the outcome of economic development and human civilization, architecture occupies huge amounts of land and swallows decreasing natural resources, with the harmonious natural beauty fading away. Therefore, to advocate of natural environment and to build harmonious ecological designing idea play irreplaceable roles in promoting the environmental protection and sustainable development of economy in China.Starting from basic theories of environmental protection and architectural design art, this paper interprets the concept of environmental protection and its practical significance, as well as the concept of architectural design art and its relevance to environmental protection. In the end, taking Nanjing Foshou Lake project as a case, the paper puts forward a design vision of "Seek Common Ground while Reserving Differences" in term of the relationship of environmental protection and architectural design art. The paper tries to provide a new understanding of environmental protection and architectural design art so as to add a different perspective to the research of the harmonious combination of the two.
