Chengjiang Fauna National Geopark Geological Evaluation Resources

Chengjiang fauna national geopark is one of the first set national geoparks approved by the Ministry of Land and Resource of the Peoples Republic of China in March of2001. It’s a national geopark whose object is to protect the Chengjiang fauna with global significance which can demonstrate "The Cambrian explosion" and the life origin and evolution of the early earth and the valuable paleontology fossils existed in stratum[1]. It’s also a rare and precious opportunity to develop the tourism of Chengjiang fauna national geopark as well as show the Chengjiang fauna fossils and stratums with fossils of scientific and profound connotations to the majority of visitors in order to help them deeply appreciate the scientific connotations. It is necessary for geopark which tends to achieve a further development to transfer the resource from geology to tourism.This paper is based on the primary data which are obtained from the documents, field research and depth interview and the analyzed methods of the combination of theory and practice, qualitative and quantitative, horizontal and vertical contrast. And a comprehensive analysis and research is carried on the material. All of these things will provide detailed data and basis of the analysis of argument to the geological tourism resource evaluation of Chengjiang fauna national geopark.With the basis of digestion and absorption the paper firstly integrates the related materials of the region where Chengjiang fauna national geopark is located. With the foundation of clearing the special structure of Chengjiang fauna national geopark, the paper systematically analyzes the general situation of the geopark literally in order to clear the basic situation of Chengjiang fauna national geopark. Then the paper conducts an investigation and makes a classification of the tourism geological resource of the park to sum up the characteristics of the resource. The author then makes a comprehensive evaluation of the tourism geological resource, not only to evaluate the resource itself but also to evaluate the environment of the tourism geological resource, which mainly evaluate from the following respects:the tourism value of the tourism geological resource involving the sides of science, ornamental,rarity, culture and education, the capacity of the environment of the tourism geological resource, development conditions, comprehensive benefits and so on, and with the above research get the conclusion about the comprehension of tourism geological resource in Chengjiang fauna national geopark. According to the above research findings finally the paper offers advice about the further development and protection of Chengjiang fauna national geopark. The evaluation of tourism geological resource in Chengjiang fauna national geopark is comprehensive, not only to evaluate the characteristics of the resource but also to evaluate the environment of the tourism geological resource.As to the development of the geological tourism resources of Chengjiang fauna national geopark, the paper conducts a research about the design of the touri route. It makes two specific tour routes, and conducts the planning of tour routes in the future as well. On the protection of geological tourism resources, the thesis proposes that the government should improve the relevant laws to forbid illegal fossil collection, and suggests that fauna national geopark should be divided into sectorizations of four classes.The related departments must strictly examine the geological tourism resources and the environment according to the standard of the World Heritage.
