Therefore, building energy-saving measures consistent with the strategy ofsustainable development, realize the national energy conservation plan, greenhouse gasemission reduction measures, it fit the global trend of development.The building fundamental purpose of energy conservation design is to the minimumenergy consumption to create the most comfortable living environment.This study based on hot summer and cold winter energy saving design standard forresidential buildings, public building energy efficiency design standards, energy saving designstandard of residential buildings in Jiangxi Province, using literature research, investigation,linking theory with practice, the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis to researchthe residential building energy saving design in Chongyi. In the specific design, according tothe site conditions, geographical environment, the climate data, respectively, design thebuilding from the building orientation, natural ventilation, and shape coefficient, green design,retaining structure, sun lighting and sun shading aspects.Through the research on the energy saving design, make a residential building energysaving reach or exceed50%level of "residential building energy saving design standard of Jiangxi" in Chongyi.
