To reduce recoil of heavy machine gun when launching and improve launching stability of weapon system, weapon dynamic model mounted with floating apparatus was built by using Adams software based on dynamic theory. Curves on machine frame velocity and recoil were obtained while launching based on dynamic simulation. The results are recoil can be reduced significantly and launching stability can be improved with floating apparatus applied to heavy machine gun. Research results can provide important direction for the performance of heavy machine gun.Firstly, part models and assemble models of heavy machine gun were built by using Solidworks based on67-2heavy machine gun and mass data and pratical demand. Secondly, imported data on67-2heavy machine gun into MatLab to get the curves of breech pressure and gas chamber pressure, imported curves into Adams to obtain forces which was loaded on the bolt and machine frame. At last, imported3-D model into Adams to build dynamic model with sensor and function and constraints mounted on, analyzed the motion characters of motion components. It can be showed the recoil can be reduced up to75.64%and67-2heavy machine gun with floating apparatus mounted on is possible.
