| In recent years, with, the emphasis on energy conservation and environmental protection, electric vehicle gradually enter the market. Whether large or small passenger buses, even if light truck, they are all developing this technology. Compared with conventional internal combustion engines car, EV’s powertrain is motor and battery backup. And the structure which is fixed powertrain is also different with ICE. As a result, it’s a primary problem how to design the structure which has the safety and reliability, and also consistent with EV in the process of the EV development.The traditional design method has already couldn’t satisfy the design requirements of the modern automobile. The virtual design based on the finite element technology has been the primary way to solve a variety of engineering problems. The finite element model which can be used to analyze the performance of the frame is built by the computer and the finite element software. Through the static, dynamic and fatigue.etc analysis of the frame, we can get all kinds of parameters of the frame performance, which can be used to guide the frame design.The frame of Light Electric Truck is studied in this paper, using the efficient finite element pre-processing software HyperMesh, in faithful of the structure’s mechanical characteristics, simplifying the geometry and then establishing finite element model based on shell elements. The static strength, stiffness and modal of the frame were analyzed, and the structural was improved according to the analysis results. After, validating the parameters of the improved frame performance, the results show that the main performance parameters of the improved frame have greatly improved. At last, the thickness dimensions of the relevant beam were chose as design variables, the maximum stress of torsion conditions and the first order frequency of free modal were chose as constraints, the minimum mass of the frame was chose as objective function, the size optimization of the improved frame was carried in the Optistruct, the optimization result show that the parameters of the optimizing frame changed a little but the mass decreased8.5Kg, the rate is8.73%, so the effects of the optimization is obvious. |
