Abstract/Summary:
The car frame is the main load-bearing part of the vehicle, its structure and properties have a significant impact on the vehicle's performance. The force in the frame is very complicated during use of the vehicle .When we using traditional mechanical analysis methods to analyze the frame , we will find there is a large deviations between the analysis results and the actual using situation .If we using the test method to analyze the frame , firstly , the test cost is high, Second ,it needs a long time , especially during developing a new Product, it will greatly increase the research and development cycle. However, when we using finite element analysis techniques to analyze the frame, which can greatly reduce costs, and shorten the development cycle. So, we pay more and more attention on using the finite element analysis in automotive design and verification of the frame. To plate and shell elements are established as the basic unit of a heavy-duty truck frame finite element model for the car frame in the course of abnormal fracture, application hyperworks and ansys finite element analysis software for static and frame strengthmodal analysis, frame obtained the stress distribution in a typical operating conditions, as well as various stages of the frame natural frequency and inherent vibration mode.Finite element analysis results show that the stress of the front frame has been greater than the minimum yield strength of materials, finite element results with the real vehicle frame consistent fracture location. According to the results of finite element analysis to analyze the possible reasons for breaking the frame, made four improvements.Improvement program and the four finite element method were used for static strength analysis, and then propose the best solution. The results show that the actual transformation, transformation method is very effective, fault zone strength has improved significantly.
