In recent years, with the infiltration and application of electronic information technology in the field of agriculture, has greatly promoted the reform of agricultural technology. Agricultural products storage technology have also entered a new development area. As we all know, food is the most basic human material means of production, and the temperature and humidity are the important factors that affect the storage quality, How to scientifically and effectively on the granary for storing food supervision has become a continuously research topic of our country agricultural products reserve area for many years.Traditional granary monitoring system often use cable wiring, Scattered storage area will be connected by the field bus. It has some defects such as complex wiring, general high cost and hard to install and maintain the system, also the expanding of lines is not good.This paper aiming at this problem, describes the important significance of scientific and security grain storage at first, then analyzes the existing monitoring technology related to grain storage, combined with embedded and wireless communication technology, this paper proposes a scheme of wireless granary monitoring system based on embedded technics. This paper is also given a detail flow in the process of measurement node and wireless gateway designing. The measurement nodes seletcts an open-source electronic platform called Arduino as the processing core. Information from the warehousing is acquired by the external temperature and humidity sensors. Finally the data will be remotely transferd by a RF module. Measurement gateway using ARM11processor as the core in charge of the establishing of the network and data receiving combined with the RF chip which model is nRF24L01+to realize the data transmission. Finally, the monitoring software which written by the virtual instrument software Lab VIEW run on the PC to realize other functions such as data storage and displaying.Through several repeated on-site testing, the test data has shows that the designed system has the characteristics of low cost and stable performance, can meet the needs of small granary site environment monitoring, provides a viable solution for the design of granary monitoring system in the future.
