Subjects:The research subjects were the prescriptions and drugs in the "Dongyishoushibaoyuan" written by Li Jima.Objective:1. To establish the dosage database of Li Jima’s clinical prescriptions and drugs in order to describe the dosage of commonly used drugs in clinical practice, including the frequency of single drug, the number of drugs in every prescription, total dosage of drugs in prescription, and the maximum dosage minimum dosage, average dosage, dose distribution of commonly used drugs and so on.2. To explore the characteristic of Li Jima’s clinical Practice on the dosage by means of data mining technology and statistic methods. Methods:The frequency of100drugs recorded in60new decoction prescriptions of "Dongyishoushibaoyuan" were studied by the Excel table and basic statistical methods. The maximum dosage, minimum dosage, average dosage, the most frequently used dosage and dose distribution of commonly used drugs which were used more than10%were studied. Research Results:1. Frequency calculating:There were33Chinese herbs which were used m ore than6times (10%) in60decoction prescriptions of Dongyishoushibaoyuan"2. Statistics number of drugs in prescription:the average numbers of drugs in every decoction prescription were8.14.6to8kinds of drugs were mostly used in the prescription.3. Dosage of every prescription and drug used each time:The average to tal dosage of drugs in60decoction prescriptions were45.83g. The average dosage of single drug was5.96g.Analysis&Discussion:1. Comparative analysis of frequency of commonly used drugs: "shaoyin people" drugs were mostly used in " Dongyishoushibaoyuan", which were the same as "shanghanlun". The most frequently used drugs in "Dongyishoushibaoyuan" and "Shanghanlun" were the drugs to strengthen the spleen and stomach. Nowadays, drugs used by Korean doctors are similar to the Li Jima’s decoction prescriptions.2. Statistical Analysis of the number of drugs in prescriptions:One characteristic of Li Jima’s prescriptions is that in the essentials, Li Jima inherited Zhang Zhongjing’s academic thought.3. Comparative analysis of doses of commonly used drugs:the small dosages used by Li Jima was inherited from Xu jun’s academic thought. The range of Li Jima’s commonly used drug dosage was similar to the Dosage of "Chinese Pharmacopoeia","Traditional Chinese pharmacology" and "herbal medicine in Korea". However, they were less than the China’s modern clinical dosage. They were similar to Korea’s modern clinical dosage from each stick, but the daily dose of Li Jima’s drugs was greater.4. Analysis of doses of toxic drugs and large dose drug:Li Jima was very cautious in the use of toxic drugs, and he was good at adjusting the dosage of toxic drugs. What’s more, he was adaptive in using large doses of drugs in the treatment of emergency severe cases.
