Throughout the developing history of art, people are always delighted in talkingabout relationship between music and architecture; they influence each other,enlighten each other, and learn from each other. A large number of explores andstudies to relevant topics are sprang up all around the world. Among them, the studyto connectivity has done some help to recognize independence and integration ofmusic and architecture. This thesis will analyze and discuss rationality and credibilityof the study to connectivity in related domestic literature. These restudy aims atmaking the study to connectivity have a more credible guidance. This thesis can bedeparted into three chapters. The first chapter will summarize and analyze twoproblems in domestic literature. The first problem is that some study to connectivitydidn’t rely on the premise of recognizing differences between them, and the secondis that domestic musicians’ era vision in studying this topic is narrow. Based on thefirst problem, the second chapter will develop a two-way study to both differencesand similarities between music and architecture from various visions, such as term,artistic attribute, and the relationship between form and content, thus, to find arelatively reasonable and credible connectivity. Based on the second problem raisedin the first chapter, the third chapter will put forward that music and architecturealways have connectivity to be studied, in any developing period of art. It alsoencourages musicians to broaden era vision when doing researches, and focus on artin twentieth century, to explore the expanding connective elements between musicand architecture.
