Patriarchal Ideology Inscribed

Film as a important part of mass culture, always produces cultural products thatcontains much value, so it constructs people’s ideology all the time. By selecting aspecial type—anti-utopia films and analyzing how this kind of critical films, whichshould have been different from typical hollywood films reflecting the man-centeredideology, hides equally deep-rooted man-centered ideology, this thesis tries todemonstrate that patriarchy still had a great impact during that time and exertedsubtle influence on peoples behavior. The title is “The Inscription of PatriarchalIdeology—The Analysis of Anti-Utopian Film and Sexual Ideology”. This paper isdivided into five parts. The first chapter is to analyse the sourse of Utopia andAnti-Utopia and same characteristic about Anti-Utopian film. The second chapter isto analyse the hidden Patriarchal Ideology from several Anti-Utopian films and toexplain Sexual Ideology how to construct people’s sexual idea to accomplish itssexual control above patriarchy. The third chapter is to sum up the differencebetween utopianism and Patriarchal Ideology.
