Faith is the inherent causes of initiative reflections on the nature of human being and it creates and supports the process of life. Current researches generally focus on the internal content of faith, the external relations with some similar conception and the comparison of the Eastern and Western faith. There are four aspects that cannot be ignored in the research of faith. The main directions are the construction of the theory, the state of the faith, the psychological description of the experience and the research on the social causes. This article attempts to discuss the faith in the ontology by using the perspective of Heidegger’s Existentialism.Firstly, the foundation of faith should be made distinct which means that the faith exists in the life of people. The faith gains its first possibility on the basis of human existence and life status. Heidegger’s Existentialism excavates the form and characteristics of people in the "presence" by interpreting of the "being" which offers a possible foundation for faith. It is valuable and significant to study the survival status of faith with Heidegger’s Existentialism. Because faith as the dominant path of human existence not only makes the existential interpretation of the faith which deepens the sexual connotation, but also offers another perspective to understand "being". Secondly, the article analyzes the faith’s association with being and the its existential features in the ontological perspective. As the homogeneous pattern of being faith also need to expose itself within the progress of the human being which is the particular existent in Heidegger. Faith is not just the final cause that why human being different from any other livings, it also proves itself by guiding the direction of people’s life. The existential characteristics of faith are pure, timing and expression. Thirdly, the various manifestations of faith should be understood with the combination of social spiritual phenomena in the society such as the Christian and the Confucianism in China to explain the special expression of faith. Finally, the consciousness of the crisis in faith strengthens the necessity of setting up a system to study faith. If the existing way of faith could not be explicated, the individuals will continue to blur the view of culture until the self-consciousness of the subject will be discovered. Therefore, the significance of establishing the study of faith lies in the basic education for different populations so as to improve human development.
