Sense - Table Of Chinese Dialects

This paper revises and improves the existing Tables of Chinese Dialects Sense, notonly in quantity but also in quality. The items of existing tables are arrangedalphabetically, or in the order of words meaning or parts of speech. Each hasadvantages and disadvantages. To overcome the shortcomings of the existing tables,we import the concepts "frequency of items" and "region of items". The formerconcept includes4grades, which contain different amounts of items. The latter onedivides items into different parts according to the areas in which items are used.What’s more, we should also draw up a table which contains the variants ofdialects sense. When we take news items into the Tables of Chinese Dialects Sense,we can use the variants table to reduce the redundancy of table items. On the otherhand, these variants are also a reminder for the informants when he is investigated.At the end of this paper, we introduce the applications of Tables of ChineseDialects Sense. We can establish database of Chinese dialects words with the help ofthe tables. Besides, dialects maps can be drawn more easily when there is a perfecttables of dialects sense.
