Tu nationality thrive in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, southeast foot of Qilian Mountains and the basin the Yellow River, Huangshui, Datong and Tao River, one of the five resident nationalities in Qinghai Province. Qinghai has the largest population of Tu nationality. And Relatively in China, the ethnic culture is well preserved. In Tu Autonomous County of Huzhu where the Tu nationality gathered, there are six forms received in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Among the six forms, there are four forms directly related with the Tu nationality marriage customs, from which we know the important position of the Tu nationality marriage customs in the Tu nationality culture. Under the joint efforts of all parties, the degree of protection of the Tu nationality culture is still relatively good. With the development of various undertakings and expansion of contact with the outside world, there are many changes of the Tu nationality culture. Under such conditions, inevitable changes happened in the Marriage Customs of Tu nationality.This article was written on the basis of two fieldwork’s material. In this article there will be mainly about the marriage customs’change. Besides, there is also a reference and comparative analysis according to the book of Le P. L.Schram priest. In the end will be my thinking about culture changing. The text is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. This chapter contain the origin and meaning of the research, literature review and a brief introduction of Tu Autonomous County of Huzhu, Where is called the hometown of Rainbow. Here I will introduce the folk customs with my own experience so that you can have a intuitional understanding. In the second chapter, there is a description of the changes of spouse choice, including the changes of clan, ethnic, region, the age of marriage and the changes of the forms of marital. The third chapter is the combination and lifting of the marriage. This part including the account of the procedures of marriage, the difference of women’s remarriage,the affinity and the divorce of marriage in the Tu’s marriage customs. The fourth chapter is about the flow of the gifts in the wedding. This chapter involve the bride price and the dowry and the wedding present from the guests. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. The first will be a analysis of the Marriage customs of the Tu nationality. Then will be the idea learned from my investigation on how to treat cultural change.Under the wave of modernization, the Tu marriage culture is currently in a state of " Tradition for the frame and modernization for the content ". Such change is a reaction to modernization and leave appropriate living space to the tradition. In this paper I try to use cultural layers and complementary strengths of culture to explain this cultural change situation. In addition, according to the attitude of the local people to the current changes of the marriage customs, I believe that the culture itself is not bound to the social development. On the contrary, the existence of the culture and the criteria of changing is to make people’s live better and more comfortable. As long as people can live more better, then any different things has the possibility to be accepted. In general, the criteria of cultural development is human, brought about by people, grow up with people, and do human good. The ultimate goal of the cultural development is to make the best meaning of the human being and the nature.
