al-Salafiyyah, or Salafism has a long history, it can be traced back to anti-rational interpretation of the Qur’an Hadith group in the7th. In the9th century, the famous Muslim scholars Ibn Hanbal criticize the teaching of "Quran was created" by the al-Mu’tazilah, and formed the basic doctrine of Salafiyya initially.13th century, with the fall of the capital Baghdad of Abbasid Empire, some scholars have attributed the reason to the inner Islam, the teaching of Salafiyya has been carried forward by Ibn Taymiyya and his pupil Ibn Gayyim. Successively experienced the "white sent","teaching of the three salutations " and "Salafiyya" three stages. So far, the believers throughout in Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Yunnan, Henan etc. I deliberately selected the big city-Xi’an, small towns-Shadian, and rural-Daying three typical Muslim settlements as the investigation object, talking about the diversity of the development process, current situation of the development of character and thought. This article is divided into six parts:the introduction part mainly puts forward the main idea of this paper, and introduce the origin and significance of theme, introduce the basic structure of literature review and be prepared for the text to further expand; The first chapter mainly explain the concept of the theme—Salafiyya, and the history and its develop process, background and thoughts, doctrines, and the characteristics of the Salafiyya in Islam of China; The second chapter take the two Yunnan case as the clue, summarize the two pathway of the Salafiyya; The third chapter, taking Xi’an as the clue, discusses the Salafiyya in Xi’an from emerge to differentiate, and thoroughly split in the end, it has typical significance; the fourth chapter mainly discussing the definition of Salafiyya of China, and reflect on the internal problems of Salafiyya in China; the last chapter summarizes the regularity about emergence, development and present situation of the Salafiyya in China, and then give the conclusion.Through the text research and the fieldwork, the author thinking that:In the context of the current situation, the Salafiyya as an independent sect in China, although its emergence, development process and status quo has diversity and complexity, but doesn’t mean has no rules to follow. On the one hand, through its differentce from other traditional teaching, law and the custom etiquette to show their own position, to reveal its advantages, and then integrate faith, enhance identification; on the other hand, through the interactions with other sects, the internal development began to present diversity. The emergence of this kind of situation is a inevitable result of the internal differentiation, and it is also a tendency that itself seek to adapt to the local Muslim community. It is can be said, from the moment of its emerge, the Salafiyya in China already walked on a road of "sinicization", as a product of global salafism movement in the Muslim community in China, Its further development must take the initiative to adapt to the Chinese society, and that already confirmed through more than one thousand years history of Islam in China.
