In the mid-eighteenth century, Junggar Mongolia progressively controlled both the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains and established Junggar Khanate, the last nomadic empire.. During the reign of Cewang Arabtan, Junggar Mongoliarapid had an expansion of its force. On one hand, he actively contacted with the Tibetan religious forces. On the other hand he planed to replace Khoshut’s to rule Tibet. Thus, a flagrant invasion of Tibet in1717was happened. Junggar Mongol’s invasion of Tibet was a major event in the western frontier of the Qing Dynasty affairs. In this paper, the main line is about this event and I study the history of the Junggar army’s cruel rule of Tibet during a period of three years (1717-1720).The study of Junggar’s invasion is an important way to understand and research the development of pre-Mongolian and Tibetan ethnic relations, characteristics and effects. In this paper, there are two parts:the introduction and the body composition. Among them, the first chapter explains the significance of the topic, the dynamic of domestic and foreign research, research methods, research problems that may arise and the solution. The text is divided into four chapter. The second chapter discusses the Tibetan background before the Junggar’s intrusion, mainly from the relationship between the King Khan of Junggar and the Gelugpa in Tibet, the development of Junggar, the relationship between Junggar and Russia and the reason and purpose of the invasion of Tibet. The third chapter is about Junggar’s invasion of Tibet, exploring the internal contradictions of the Mongolian and Tibetan ruling class, evaluating Khoshut’s strategic mistakes from the political, religious, military, and also involving the attitude of Tibetan monks and ordinary people about the Junggar invaders. The forth chapter is about Junggar abused Tibet, which discusses the paramilitary all kinds of evil in Tibet, burning and looting, trampling on the persecution of Tibetan Buddhist monks and other policy atrocities, and baggage shortage of Tibet paramilitary forces frustrated, the Qing government twice using military forces, the Tibetan nobility’s counterattack quasi-military, to demonstrate the reasons for the decline of the the quasi Ministry forces in Tibet. The fifth chapter analyzes the Junggar Mongol invasion of Tibet. Junggar Mongol invasion of Tibet incident, the Qing government to adjust the Tibetan Policy of the same time, the Junggar invasion of Tibet also had a serious impact of its internal situation and the situation, and Christianity spread in Lhasa and the Tibetan local politics, religion, production and life, ecological environment caused serious damage.
