The district of Huizhou, located in the southern Anhui mountainous area, had barren lands, where farming was difficult. Besides, conflicts between little lands and huge population, more and more people there came to start their road to business in the early time of China. As the continuous development of commercial economy in Ming and Qing Dynasty, the number of businessmen became bigger and bigger, which promoted their business to the top. Women taking care of the whole big family created the ordinary mode when men out of the family in Huizhou. This thesis paper needs to discuss the main problem is that these left-behind housewives who taking care of things in home’s business women’s life.The thesis paper will discuss the left-behind women’s life in the Ming and Qing Dynasty business families in Huizhou, from4chapters. In the introduction, the present researches covering the history of the Chinese women and the women in the business families in Huizhou will be illustrated. In the first chapter, how the women in the business families appeared and how they were influenced in their moralities, acts and life by the special geographic and social environments will be analyzed. In the second chapter, the marriage life of the women in the business families will be demonstrated:their life had extremely different contents, compared to the ordinary women. In the third chapter, the social life of the women in the business families will be analyzed. In the last chapter, the real life of the women in the business families will be covered through their devotions, their status, their functions and their relationship with the clan and the local authority, then a theory will be gotten that these women have devoted so much to their families and societies. In the conclusion, the thesis paper will be concluded and pushed to deeper recognition.
